Thought we weren't really going to like an all-inclusive place as we like more quality than quantity, but Aura did not disappoint. It was VERY nice not having kids running around - the pool is so much more peaceful and enjoyable. The staff was great - seemed to really enjoy helping us take full advantage of the all-inclusiveness! The grounds were very  nice, and having the booth for day trips and other activities right on the beach with things leaving right from the dock was very convenient. We are now rethinking our preconceived ideas. Highly recommend.

If you want to get away from it all and let nice people spoil you, this is the place to go. Right on the beach with access to all kinds of tours and fun, but quiet, adults only evenings. We loved it. The food is excellent and service great. We will return.

We loved this hotel. It had great customer service and they made you feel like you were important. Very peaceful. Food was great. Could offer more Mexican snacks and more choices for food during the day. Tortilla chips and avacado should be more plentiful. Service was a little slow at times. Need more bar service people and more than one cook to feel  orders at outside bar. Beach was beautiful, but not much to do. We would stay there again. Not much shopping available. Had to go to town for best prices.

Having stayed at 10 other resorts and some 5 star and 5 golden apple ones from Cancun to Tulum. I have to give this one only 3 stars. However, If you are planning on some scuba, then the location cannot be beat. Great pier where dive boats pick up 3 to 4 times a day. the grounds are pretty and well kept, appear they painted that place on the outside.  The swin up rooms are very nicely located, and always worth the price, every time. Although the sun in December does not hit the southern located room swim up area, so you'll want the northern side of resort. The place was barely 30% full when we where there, so very laid back and quiet place to relax. The king beds kinda short, and firm. The inside of the rooms were a bit outdated, and run down looking, but still was comfortable. Restaurants were few to choose from and the menu limited. However the chicken Mole enchaladas were awesome and the apple stuffed french toast. Keep in mind, the Sabor resort next door is available to you as well, so if you don't like how quiet it is, or the choice of bars and restaurants, walk next door and check out the plays, fire shows, swing bar, gift shops and cigar shop, just make sure you make reservations for the Sabor restaurants ahead of time. Also, contrary to other resorts we have stayed at, the spa credit you receive at check in is excellent here so take advantage of that if it;s offered. So service and outdated rooms are the main reason I am not rating this place higher. They just don't go over the top like other resorts I have stayed at that to make you feel welcomed and cater to your every need. The higher end resorts will come find you and make sure you are comfortable, these servers, although very nice folks, don't go out of there way to serve you. Except when they realize you tip, which we highly believe in whenever we go all-inclusive. So if you want a nice quiet place to relax, scuba dive, lay by the pool, and not be too overly pampered, then you won't be dissapointed. A l

Great hotel, our room was more like an apartment with a huge balcony and others looked good too (some have private pools or a swim-up balcony to the main pool. Very friendly staff and good food (especially for an all inclusive). Excellent location for diving: there is a reasonably priced diving shop on site, and you are about 5-10 minutes away by boat  from 3 of the main Cozumel Reefs.

Thought this hotel was really nice. Everything is pretty updated, food was solid (especially the Mexican selections). Room was very large, much bigger and nicer than expected, though a tad noisy at times. That doesn't matter too much. Some of the best reefs are right off shore, the dive shop on site is good. The beach is very sandy, though once you  get in the water it is coral. Great snorkeling even at the beach (you can see all sorts of colorful fish right off the pier they have). Staff is super friendly and professional, though not always super speedy. It's perfect if you try to go a little off-peak hours.

The hotel was located on a beautiful stretch of beach. The views are amazing, the water just beautiful. Had a wonderful experience, the staff is very friendly and most helpful. The only concern I had was the quality of the food could have been better. After a few days of eating the same menu which was quite bland to begin with we got bored and went into town for dinner a couple of nights. Otherwise had a wonderful time, met lots of nice people. I would return again.

the staff were more than wonderful, the room was cute but not well maintained. the food on site is MUCH better than i expected. room service is from 7am - 11pm, but i recommend trying out all of the hotel resturants, great varity. the drinks at all locations on site were made perfect. the hotel shuts down in the evenings so if you are wanting to relax - you can - if you are wanting to go out - you will have to take a taxi.
